Custom Fretted Instruments & Repair
1963 Gibson Hummingbird
First off, this is a refinished guitar. It came to our shop stripped poorly with no binding, and the neck out with a box of parts. It's been in the shop for several years, and we spent time fixing it up during slower periods. Work included filling and rough sanding gouges from the stripping process, rebinding the entire guitar, refinishing from bare wood, making & installing a new rosewood bridge, setting the neck angle, and making a new bone nut and saddle.
Plays and sounds great, with a deep, strong low end.
Tuners, truss rod cover, inlays, frets, and pickguard are all original.
- Nut width: 1-11/16"
- Action at 12th fret: 5/64" treble & 6/64" bass.
SN: 148383 imprinted on back of headstock, as well as on interior label.
Hardshell case included.
