Custom Fretted Instruments & Repair
1937 Martin D-28
This is one of the best sounding guitars to pass through our shop in a while. This one has been played hard, and was apparently used professionally by the original owners in the 30s and early 40s. After that, it spent several decades put up, with only occasional play.
Has had many repairs over its 83 years, including:
- numerous back cracks with cleats
- center seam crack on top
- bridgeplate replaced
- bridge replaced
- overspray on back
- recent neck reset (excellent work)
- added "popsicle" brace
Repairs performed at our shop: 2 back cracks resealed with hide glue, bridgeplate repair (strings were embedded), minor bridge saddle adjustment.
High quality Ameritage case included.
Sorry, no trades.
